Twirl Girl

I just finished up a really great project with Rythmn Dance Center in Marietta Ga.  I created some original characters for a dance program called "Twirl". The girls will be featured in fun instructional materials for little girls pre-school and kindergarden ages.  Below I'm showing the final art with the initial rough sketches I sent (based on photos of adorable girls I was given for reference).  I love the way they turned out and hopefully they will inspire young girls to "Twirl to the max".

Personal work.

I found a photo of this amazing little girl in a mint dress on Pinterest.  I decided to crank up some music and paint her in watercolor with a little ink.

I love fashion for little girls.  Oversized glasses, dropped crotch sweat pants and yellow rain boots…Too cute!  These are line drawings I took into photoshop and colored.

watercolor play!

I do so much work on the computer that I forget how fun it is to paint. I've been practicing with my watercolors. Really loving the freedom and hoping I can start integrating some of this into my work.  

Glimmer Girls "Light Up New York"

Not due out until Jan. of next year, but I just found it listed on Amazon.  The last in the four book tween series by Natalie Grant. This time the girls get into some fun in the big apple. This was my favorite cover to illustrate for the set.
